Hello,

If you are on this page, you would like to know a little bit about me.  It is strange writing about myself, but I will give it my best shot.

I was born and raised in Southern Wisconsin. Growing up, I never considered myself an artist or even artistic.  My Mother, on the other hand, is an artistic genius. That gene wouldn't develop in me until I was well into my adulthood.

In 1990 I enrolled at MATC (Madison Area Technical College) in Madison, WI.  I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life.  My career ideas changed day by day, so I took a variety of classes in hopes of finding my way.  It was in the spring of 1992 that I took my first photography class.  I was hooked!  It was still the day of negatives, chemistry, darkrooms and Photoshop had just made its way into the world. This was a commercial photography focus, meaning we learned about product photography, lighting, printing, audio visual techniques and more.  I forged great friendships that still hold today and created a foundation that would hold me in my career throughout the rest of my life.  I graduated at the top of my class from the Photography program at MATC in 1994.

Through the years I have lived in Jamaica, New York City and South Florida. I have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and Central America.  I have worked in just about every aspect of the Photography industry and fringes thereof including; academia, large format printing (sales and operations) photo labs (as a manager, technician and printer), portrait studios (manager & photographer), commercial studios, event photography, architectural photography, theater, fine art, editorial, and more.  I have also worked with businesses to streamline their photo operations, processes and procedures.

2008 was a rough year for many, including myself.  In an effort to create a new network that may bring new opportunities, I enrolled in the BFA Photography Program at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL.  Up to this point in my career, I had always thought I was creative in my photography.  Fine Art Photography is a whole new world of possibilities I had never considered or was even aware existed.  This program, these people, opened an entirely new world for me creatively, spiritually and expanded my life more than I could ever dream possible. In 2010 I received my BFA in Fine Art Photography.

Since 2010, life has been busy.  I worked with the University for some years, started my business (sometimes on the side, sometimes, like now, full-time.  I dove into Graphic Design, Painting, Collage and any other creative outlet I can get my hands on.  The creative gene sat dormant for the first 40 years of my life, now there is no way I could turn it off if I tried.

So, if you need a head shot, have an event (sorry, I don't do weddings), have a project, product, house or anything you would like photographed, retouched, or made into a composite or art; If you need a logo, design or a piece of art for your wall... Give me a call.... I am Your Fotographer.
